BERNING BEAUTY settled off the pace, was roused in the three path on the turn, rallied in the six path into the stretch, made a bid at the three-sixteenths pole then took the lead, battled outside of two foes until around the sixteenth-pole then edged clear under steady urging. SENEGAL broke in at the start, was well placed towards the front, moved from the rail to the three path while chasing the leader on the turn, made a bid in the four path into the stretch, passed the three-sixteenths pole on even terms for the lead, drifted out under a left-handed crop near the furlong marker, battled under a drive until near the sixteenth-pole then was outfinished while able to get the place. BURN RUBBER had his head turned at the start and was off a step slow, moved up on the outside while hustled to get the lead then angled in, showed the way down the backstretch, was asked in the two path on the turn, turned into the stretch under the crop, lost the advantage just inside the three-sixteenths pole, battled with the top two until about the sixteenth-pole then weakened but was well clear for the show. JANSSEN bumped soundly with a foe at the start, tracked the pace, dropped back under urging in the three then two path on the turn and tired. CAN'T STAND DISCO bumped soundly with an opponent at the start, was taken in hand early then tracked the pace, dropped back under urging with five furlongs to run, went around the turn in the three then four path, remained on his inside lead until outside the furlong marker then swapped to the proper lead and came up empty. NEPTUNE BEACH was carried in at the start, raced towards the rear under urging, saved ground on the turn and failed to respond. ME WISE MAGIC broke in at the start, settled at the back, climbed near the nine-sixteenths pole, dropped from the four path to the two path under urging on the turn and was no factor. CHARMING JIM moved up on the outside then tracked the pace, chased in the three path on the turn and faltered.
