SCORCH was bumped at the start and forced out, chased the pace down the backstretch, made a bid in the three path on the turn, took the lead under a strong drive outside the furlong marker, shook clear outside the sixteenth-pole and just held under strong urging. SOUTH PHILLY SLIDE moved in while urged along off the pace, saved ground on the turn, came out under a drive inside the three-sixteenths pole, moved further out into the final furlong and finished well to garner the place. BASHFUL BABY was off slow and spotted the front a few lengths, angled in at the rear, tossed her head near the five-eighths pole, saved ground on the turn, moved out in upper stretch and finished with good energy to get the show. BLACK ROSE settled towards the front, was roused in the two path on the turn, pursued the leader under a drive in the stretch and finished willingly for the last spot in the superfecta. BESIDE YOU raced well back in the field, went around the turn in the two path, spun into the stretch in the three path and improved position with late energy to just miss the superfecta. COPPER CADUCEUS raced up close on the outside, chased in the four path on the turn, lugged in some in the stretch and lacked the needed kick. SANTIANA went to the front then showed the way, moved clear with a half-mile to run, rounded the turn in the two path, was asked for her best in upper stretch, lost the advantage to the winner outside the furlong marker and weakened. MARAJOLINE showed speed then pressed the pace, dropped back near the half-mile pole, saved ground on the turn and came up empty. GREAT ACTRESS was urged along on the outside, went around the turn in the four path and lacked the needed response. MEDIUM COOL was bumped at the start and forced out, went around the turn in the three then four path and failed to threaten. CATHOLIC VICE was urged along near the rear, brushed with a foe around the five-eighths pole, went around most of the turn in the two path then moved to the three path and was no factor. SUGAR PRINCESS was urged off the pace, brushed with a rival near the five-eighths pole, went around the turn in the three path and failed to respond.
