For horses not originally nominated, a supplemental payment of $675 in addition to the entry and starting fees may be made at any time prior to the closing of entries. ME GOVERNOR shied in at the start and was corrected, ranged up to duel briefly with PERFECT FIGURE before taking command with nine-sixteenths to go, showed the way in hand along the inside, took the inside route into upper stretch, drifted out four paths straightened away and was roused at the three-sixteenths, edged clear to the eighth pole, dug in and held safe to prevail. ANNASCAUL coaxed from the gate, chased just off the inside and then along the inside coming under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, angled four wide into upper stretch, tipped out two paths straightened away and offered up a mild kick. YOUGOTTAHAVEHOPE chased along the inside coming under coaxing near the quarter pole, took the inside route into upper stretch, kept on to secure the show honors. PERFECT FIGURE broke in brushing the near side stall at the start, led briefly before engaging in head to head combat briefly with ME GOVERNOR, then chased three then two wide coming under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, swung three wide into upper stretch and weakened in the late stages. STRONG LIKE SARA chased three then two wide coming under coaxing at the three-eighths, swung three wide into upper stretch and offered no response. ANNIE GOODBODY chased along the inside coming under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, took the inside route into upper stretch and offered no rally. BLOSSOMING ERUDITE chased four then three wide coming under encouragement at the five-sixteenths, swung three wide for home and weakened. DUBOFF chased just off the inside under a ride from the five-sixteenths, continued just off the inside into upper stretch, tired.
