GEORGE BRIGGS three wide through the first turn, chased three wide patiently handled until set down angled six wide into upper stretch, rallied to take command a furlong from home, then edged clear to the finish to prevail. NEW MATTHEW settled tracking the front just off the inside from just off the pace, got set down continuing just off the inside into upper stretch, ran on to chase the winner home clear of the rest and along second best. TRINITY RIVER coaxed from the gate, saved ground in pursuit from mid pack, got roused spinning three to four wide into upper stretch, kept on under a drive and was up for the show honors in a blanket finish behind the top pair. ARCH'S ASSAULT broke in at the start bumping TAHILA into TWOHONESTMISCHIEF, showed the way in hand just off the inside and then along the inside, got let out taking the inside route into upper stretch, dug in under threat from a host of pursuers and was collared a furlong out, kept on to salvage the last major share on the wire. OZZY coaxed from the gate, raced just off the inside through the first turn, chased four then three wide coming under coaxing at the five-sixteenths advancing on the front, swung five wide into upper stretch, offered up a bid a furlong out, then weakened in the late stages. TAHILA got bumped at the start by ARCH'S ASSAULT and in turn brushed TWOHONESTMISCHIEF, chased along the inside, came under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, spun two to three wide into upper stretch and weakened in the late stages. TWOHONESTMISCHIEF got brushed at the start by TAHILA due to pressure from ARCH'S ASSAULT, chased three then two wide in closest aim of the leader coming under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, swung three wide into upper stretch and weakened in the late going. I'M DUE chased just off the inside coming under coaxing at the three-eighths, angled four wide into upper stretch, offered no response. G FIVE coaxed from the gate, chased along the inside under a ride from the five-sixteenths, took the inside route into upper stretch, weakened. VIKING WARRIOR raced three then two wide through the first turn, chased four then three wide under a ride from the three-eighths, went seven to eight wide into upper stretch and offered no kick. ROMEO VOID coaxed from the start, raced just off the inside through the first turn, chased four then three wide under coaxing from three furlongs out, went six to seven wide into upper stretch and tired. HAVE A CIGAR a bit rank under restraint early on and off heels, strode sluggishly and was guided outside midway on the turn to the four or five path, continued well off the inside into the backstretch and was placed to a protective hold and steadily pulled up near the half mile pole and was subsequently walked off the turf course to the main track and then transported via equine ambulance from the course.
