Footnotes
GILBANE broke a bit inward and found a position around the middle of the pack, proceeded along the inside until launching a four wide bid in the upper stretch, got up just in time. BOURBONCENTRIC raced off the pace three wide, steadily advanced three wide up the backstretch and far turn, got bumped out by STROBE LIGHT at the three eighths and continued his advance to enter the stretch in contention, took charge at the three sixteenths but got nailed at the wire by an outside runner. CLASSIC COMMANDER found a forward position three wide in the early stages, ranged up through the far turn for a dueling spot between runners at the top of the lane, gave way soon after but still held for the show award. ZIP FOR RICK was off slowly, raced off the pace until being cued three wide in the far turn but got bumped out by FRESH START at the three eighths marker, proceeded to be carried out by that same foe in the upper stretch as well as being bumped again in the final yards. FRESH START bumped outer foe at the start, raced off the pace between runners, tipped out in the far turn and bumped ZIP FOR RICK at the three eighths, carried out that same rival in the upper stretch and bumped them again late. STROBE LIGHT broke sharply and opted to race in the middle of the pack two wide, bumped out BOURBONCENTRIC at the three eighths, angled out four wide at the quarter pole but was unable to rally for a relatively even finish. IMPERIAL ANTHEM settled along the inside, ranged up through the far turn but faded after the turn for home. ROCOLINO bumped inner foe at the start, vied three wide in the early stages before taking sole command after the first quarter, led along the rail through the far turn until meeting a bid from CLASSIC COMMANDER at the top of the lane, gave way at the three sixteenths and weakened then on. SURFSIDE DAN vied along the inside in the early stages but took hold a slight hold after one and a half furlongs, continued to give chase along the inside, moved between runners at the five eighths but lacked any late kick. THE GREAT EIGHT settled off the pace, made advancements between rivals, flattened out late. NOWUCME NOWUDONT trailed for most, passed retreating foe. TALWYN vied between runners early and shifted along the inside at three quarters, proceeded along with tight rein to back off the pace until three eighths, came under a loose rein and some mild coaxing at the five sixteenths but had no more to give, retreated and was eased across.
