PINEAPPLE MAN broke on top to dictate the terms of the race, continued two wide into the turn, finished firmly holding the rest at bay. SHOOT THE NICKEL stalked the pace three wide, was unable to close in the stretch despite best efforts for an even finish. NORMANDY COAST shadowed the leader alongside the rail, fought on down the lane to hold for the show award. SECURED LANDING raced off the pace three wide, ranged up through the far turn to be in range at the top of the lane but was unable to make the final close. PRINCIP got pinched back at the start and trailed in the early stages, started progressing three wide through the turn before taking to the outside of the stretch, kept on down the lane. SARA'S SHAMAN raced off the pace along the inside, steadied at the five eighths and trailed through the turn, entered the stretch three wide only to pass faders. CONCORDE SPIRIT raced off the pace between runners, was cued at the three eighths but did not have enough to keep that bid all the way home and flattened out in the final furlong. LIFE AND LIGHT broke a bit inward, raced off the pace along the outside, was nudged along around the five eighths but lacked the necessary response, trailed by the quarter pole.
