Footnotes
UP ON THE EDGE stalked the pace, rallied on the turn, assumed command entering the stretch and drew off under steady encouragement. SKIPWINEYESTERDAY stumbled at the start, was unhurried early, saved ground, rallied along the rail into the turn, shifted out when clear, swung five wide into the stretch and closed to earn place. HATTIE BLOOM raced close to the pace along the inside, dropped back on the turn, finished evenly and held safely for show. GOTTOTRY MISCHIEF was sent to the front, set the pace to the second turn, tired and gave way. MIGHTY MADI was never far back, bid along the rail on the turn and had nothing left for the drive. EXTRA INDY put in an even effort in an outside trip and was not a factor. SMARTY BE GOOD trailed in a wide trip, was eased and walked off.
