Footnotes
DR. STORM was never far off the pace, advanced to the second turn, awaited room, angled out, swung wide entering the stretch, bid willingly to duel and inched away late to prove best. VICTORIOUS VANDA stalked the pace along the inside while racing in hand, bid between horses into the turn to challenge, dueled for the lead, came out near the eighth pole under left handed urging, shut off INNATELY GOOD and was outfinished in a good effort. MENDELSSOHN JOY raced mid pack, got shuffled back on the turn, closed steadily and got up late for show. INNATELY GOOD was rated back at the start, saved ground, rallied along the rail into the second turn, awaited room, angled out when clear, bid between horses near the eighth pole, was shut off, checked and dropped back. CLASSY EMPIRE was hard to load, set a pressured pace to the turn, responded to duel and faltered in late stretch to lose position. DOUBLE ECHO pressed the pace, dropped back into the turn, tired and stopped. Following a stewards' inquiry and a rider's objection, VICTORIOUS VANDA was disqualified and placed fourth for causing interference in the stretch.
