Footnotes
COASTAL KID chased the pace early on, a little to the outside, then angled in and closed fast, up the rail, drifting out slightly in late stretch to win handily. SIR STERLING stalked the pace early, racing from the outside, then closed well down the middle of the track to hold on for second. DUAL MONARCHY got off to a slow start, then steadily gaining ground, rallied between horses down the lane, angled in to the rail late and just missing second. KATAR was mid pack away from there, then made the lead down the backstretch but was overtaken by the quarter pole and gave way. HAPPY DANCER broke sharp gaining a brief lead, but dropped back quickly and had no late run. VICTORIOUS VANDA was near the front early but faded by the three quarter pole and was no factor.
