Footnotes
LEMON MERINGUE was mid field early on, racing along the outside, then closed around the turn, dueling down the lane with MT. ZEROR, and just got up for the win. MT. ZEROR was mid pack early, on the outside, then rallied between horses at out of the far turn, then dueled down the lane with the winner, just missing. HOLIDAY FANTASY was near the back early, making a steady gain from the outside and got up for show. BROWN TOWN stalked the pace early, with a mild bid in the stretch drive, but it was not enough. PALACE KITTEN was allowed to settle, trailing the field on the outside and improved position down the lane. DEFLATER made the lead early but gave way at the three sixteenths pole. DISCRETIONARY DAY broke sharp and was near the front, but dropped back early. WELTON pressed the pace from the inside but faded early.
