UP ON THE EDGE broke well, led a pack of pursuers to the stretch, responded when set down for the drive, and held sway to the finish despite drifting out in the final yards. ATOMIC HABITS was pulling hard to be up close with the rider taking a firm hold, was set down to go after UP ON THE EDGE passing the quarter pole, could do more than chase that one home, but finished a mile clear of the next runner. ANGELAS PARTY GIRL went three-wide through the clubhouse turn, then was getting out but advancing five or six wide down the backstretch, bid four-wide through the far turn, then was lugging out again in upper stretch, finished well enough to take the third spot. TRUE MYTH unhurried from the break, raced at the back of the pack and mildly improved in the later stages, while never a serious threat. PAYTON'S BEAUTY raced up close three wide with aim on the front, came under pressure on the turn to keep up the pace, dropped out of contention approaching the quarter pole, and had little left for the stretch run. CONNECTABLE raced in the middle of the pack through the first half-mile, then started to fade near the seven-sixteenths marker. VERONICA'S DELIGHT got off the rail on the first turn, moved out to the two path and was being nudged on to make a forward move down the backstretch, came under a drive to keep up with the pace approaching the three-furlong pole but did not respond, tired in the stretch and was not persevered with late.
