Footnotes
I'LL MAKE BANK broke best and seized the early lead with several close behind, rebuffed a challenge late on the turn, led into the stretch and drew off under steady handling. TEQUILA THERAPY broke in at the start, then tried to bolt to the outside fence before the rider got control, chased a length or two behind the lone pacesetter, went to challenge near the quarter pole, but was unable to match strides and chased to the wire clear of the rest of the field. HEAVENLY DEACON raced in the middle of the pack, then improved position, showing mild interest at the finish, despite lugging in through the stretch. SPECIAL AGENT MAN got bumped by PAHAPESTO WILLY and had to alter path at the start, still managed to race close up three-wide through the early stages, moved up closer to set up a bid on the turn, made a run at the lead approaching the quarter pole, but was unable to go on and faltered in the stretch. KINGDOM CITY ducked out after the start, stalked the early pace close up from the inside, had to wait for running room through the turn, had the rail open turning into the stretch, but could not take advantage, and faltered in the late stages. BEARS' D was far back early, started a sustained run after passing the half-mile pole, advanced some through the turn, then flatted out in mid-stretch. PAHAPESTO WILLY broke outward into SPECIAL AGENT MAN at the start, then raced close up to the leaders to the turn, then faded and was uninvolved in the late stages.
