CATALINA CAT stalked along the inside, took aim outside of the embattled pair at the furlong grounds and sustained slow progress to forge an advantage in the shadow of the wire. DESERT AIRE stalked two wide, pressed in the three path around the turn, bid and sparked a duel entering the lane, battled into deep stretch and got outkicked. PROMISSIONE set the pace near the inside as an outer rival applied pressure around the turn, dueled with that one through the lane but was surpassed by a wider challenger late and missed place. DAN D'ORO saved ground at the rear, rallied inside of rivals in upper stretch and was gaining belatedly. HIGH FIVE SY was off slow and brushed with an inner foe at the start, lacked speed in the two to three path, swung out to the eight path in upper stretch and moved up. HOTLINE BLINK leaned outward and brushed a foe at the start, was urged along in pursuit along the inside, drifted out in upper stretch and tired. BOURBON STATE broke slowly, raced off of the pace in the three to five path before fanning to the seven path into the lane and failed to threaten. MARAVICH chased two wide and between horses and tired. GHOST PRINCE lacked speed in the four path and failed to factor. TRAP LINE chased four wide and between horses then faded. PLAYING CUPID tracked five wide and faded between horses. JACK RABBIT chased three wide and between horses, then weakened.
