Footnotes
KOPION attended the pace along the inside, came under a ride into the turn, worked his way to the outside and looped into striking distance five wide, quickened once straightened for the drive, engulfed HOPE ROAD nearing the sixteenth maker and swiftly drew away. HOPE ROAD tracked three wide, came four wide to make a bold bid, took over and shook clear a furlong out, kept on well but was no match for the winner. WAYS AND MEANS contended between foes, took closer order leaving the turn, continued on well in traffic but settled for the minor award. SCYLLA settled saving ground, steadied from tight quarters near the eleven-sixteenths pole, shifted out to be clear, circled five wide through the turn and into the lane and improved position. EMERY contended four wide, but weakened between horses entering the stretch and faded. POSITANO SUNSET was unhurried into stride, dropped well back, came five wide and finished with a belated advanced. VAHVA was forwardly placed inside, got through entering the stretch, tipped out near the furlong marker, but toiled fruitlessly through the lane. BENEDETTA settled off of the inside and was never a factor. MYSTIC LAKE opened clear to set the pace, was collared leaving the turn, relinquished the lead entering the lane and gave way readily thereafter. MISS SUSAN B showed little.
