Footnotes
PRINCETOWN bumped with an inner rival at the start, vied three to two wide into the backstretch, inched clear with a half mile to go, maintained a margin through midstretch, then lasted from an outer challenge late. PASSING GAME was bumped by an inner rival into an outer foe while being put to crowded quarters at the start, trailed early on, came under urging with a half mile to go, took the turn in the four path before tipping inwardly entering the lane, checked to alter course sharply outside of rivals at the furlong grounds, rallied to bear down on the tiring leader late but came up short. BADGE OF WAR required a late rider change after the post-parade, broke out severely and bumped and bothered multiple rivals at the start, stalked along the inside, then two wide and between horses with nine sixteenths to go, came under urging off of the pace in the three path around the turn, fanned out to the four path into upper stretch, ran on to bid for place along with an outer foe at the furlong grounds, but got outkicked while progressing late. CRUSHED IT transferred contact from an inner foe to an outer rival while put to cramped quarters among foes at the start, stalked three to two wide, took aim on the clear leader from the three path in upper stretch, but only managed to chase as an outer pair bid for place passing the furlong grounds, then yielded that position to them leaving the sixteenth pole. SPECIAL DISPATCH vied inside of the eventual leader early on, chassed that one into and around the turn, pursued from the two path in upper stretch and gave way.
