ECHO LANE raced in the two path along the turns, was in the four path into the lane while ranging up into contention, continued on down the lane, took over near the eighth pole under a long drive, edged clear and held off rival in the final stages. MOUNT RUNDLE raced in the three path along the first turn while back early on, was in the three path along the far turn, fanned into the eight path entering the lane, rallied widest down the lane and just missed in the final stages. ARMY OFFICER set the pace from the outset, opened up a clear advantage down the backstretch, was near the rail entering the lane, under a long drive near the eighth pole and gave in during the late stages. AK SAR BEN DERBY hopped at the start and raced back early on, was on the inside along both turns, tipped out into the five path entering the lane, made a bid down the lane but flattened out late in the drive. MIRANDA RIGHTS tracked the pace early on, raced in the four path along the far turn, rallied into the lane from the six path and leveled off late in the stretch run. ASPENITE raced in the four path along the first turn, was in the three path along the far turn, fanned into the seven path entering the lane and moved up in the stretch. FACTOR ANALYSIS raced in the four path along the first turn, was in the eight path into the lane and lacked a late bid. NATIONAL ECLIPSE stalked the pace early on, raced in the three path along the far turn, was in the six path into the lane and weakened late in the stretch drive. MOOGIE SON was a tad slow at the break, raced in the four path along the first turn, was in the two path into the lane and never a threat. SAINT IN THE CITY fought restraint into the first turn while done early. BETTER BET was never a factor.
