MAKI MONARCHY stalked along the inside, tipped out to the four path to take aim outside of the new leader entering upper stretch, progressed gradually while flopping to, then from, his left lead in midstretch, ranged up to bid at the sixteenth pole and edged past. DR. SAIKALI bumped with an inner foe leaving the gate, pressed two wide, bid rounding the far turn, led in upper stretch but was collared by an outer bidder in the final furlong and got bested late. LIAM'S LAGOON broke a bit outwardly at the start, raced at the rear in the four to three path around the first turn, then in the four path around the far turn, moved out to the five to six path into upper stretch and ran on willingly to gain show late. ICE WOLF tracked three wide, floated four wide into the backstretch, chased two wide around the far turn, ran on mildly between horses, edged show at the sixteenth pole but was caught by an outer rival late. BON TEMPS pursued from midpack near the inside into the first turn, pulled between rivals while shifting outside of the top pair into the backstretch, applied pressure three deep around the far turn, yielded while getting floated to the five path into the lane, shifted inwardly and faded. MESSAGE OF HOPE (IRE) bumped with an outer rival at the start, set the pace along the inside, vied with an outer rival around the far turn, got headed in upper stretch then drifted inwardly at the furlong grounds and weakened. CITY OF LIFE laid off of the pace in the three path, then saved ground around the far turn but to no avail. ROC AND READY JO took back at the start, lacked speed in the two path and failed to factor between horses.
