Footnotes
COMING IN HOT vied two wide, then between horses turning for home, kicked clear entering the lane and held sway under a drive. ASLEEP AT EIGHT brushed with an outer rival in the opening stages, chased along the inside, drifted out around the turn, fanned to the six path into the lane, yet ran on to bid for place at the sixteenth pole, sparred for that position late and dead-heated with an inner rival at the wire. ALL THE LUCK pressed three wide and between horses turning for home, failed to keep pace with the clearing leader entering the lane, then battled gamely for place between horses through the final furlong and dead-heated with an outer counterpart. JUJUBEE broke outwardly and bumped a rival at the start, laid off of the pace in the three path, got floated out to the five path at the three furlong pole, tucked back inwardly turning for home, advanced up the rail to bid for place in midstretch, vied for that position through the late stages but was denied. MACKADOO was bumped by an inner rival at the start, trailed in the two path, shifted out to the five path entering upper stretch and improved position. PAKULA lacked speed along the inside despite consistent urging and made little impact. ALTOBELLI was bumped by an inner rival into an outer foe at the start, stalked four deep, ranged up in hopes of offering a bid at the five sixteenths pole, but failed to keep pace with the clearing leader entering the lane, then faded between horses in the final furlong. CROOKED BULLET brushed with an inner foe early on, vied for the lead along the inside but weakened entering the lane.
