Footnotes
SECRET CHAT broke a step slow, raced off of the pace along the inside, rallied in the three path into the final furlong, split foes while progressing quickly in the final sixteenth and edged past the leader in the shadow of the wire. THE PROCESS prompted the leader from the three path, forged an advantage in upper stretch, but drifted out subtly at the furlong grounds, straightened course and held sway into the final sixteenth but was caught by an outer bidder late. SARDIS tracked from the four path, chased around the turn, stayed on to sustain pursuit of the top pair into the final furlong, got outkicked by an inner rival at the sixteenth pole yet kept on to re-edge show late. PRINCETOWN showed the way in the two path as an outer rival applied pressure, got headed by that one in upper stretch, fought on through midstretch but faded in the final sixteenth. JUST A FAIR SHAKE pursued from midpack two wide and between horses, shifted out to the four to six path in upper stretch and ran on mildly. GROVELAND trailed near the two path, then between horses turning for home, got floated out to the five to seven path in upper stretch and failed to menace. ASPENITE raced off of the pace in the three path, fanned out to the six to seven path into the lane and tired while hanging on his left lead.
