AMERICAN CITY leaned in and bumped a rival at the start, advanced inside of foes leaving the six furlong pole, loomed a danger stalking from the pocket just behind the leaders around the turn, slipped thru a narrow rail seem and brushed a rival while bidding entering the lane, led narrowly from an outer co-bidder leaving the three sixteenths pole, inched free in the final furlong then held late. DOWN THE ISLANDS stalked outside of the top pair and from the four path, came under a drive approaching the five sixteenths pole, bid along with an inner rival entering the lane, lugged inwardly while hanging on his left lead and surpassing the early leaders at the three sixteenths pole, vied with the aforementioned rail bidder leaving the three sixteenths pole, maintained pressure while changing to his right lead at the furlong grounds, kept on well to sustain his bid late but was denied. NOBLE REIGN broke a bit outwardly at the start,, trailed along the inside before advancing in the three to four path into the turn, tipped to the five path into upper stretch, the ran on while hanging on his left lead to edge show. MORALLY vied for the lead with an inner rival while kept in the three path around the turn, sparred three wide and between horses entering the lane before being outkicked by bidders on either side in upper stretch, and gave way. BEGFORFORGIVENESS hopped at the start and was off slow, pursued from midpack tucking down to the two path into the turn, and improved position. BEST DRESSED MAN broke a touch outwardly, led narrowly from an outer vying rival while a path off of the inner rail around the turn, got brushed by a rail bidder entering the lane and weakened in upper stretch. FINANCIAL WHIZ took contact from an outer rival at the start, then saved ground off of the pace to no avail. SUPER SMOOTH chased from midpack in the four path and between horses, but weakened with a half mile to go and was done early. VSOP broke out and brushed the gate at the start, dropped back to the rear in the five to four path into the turn, weakened turning for home, was eased through the lane, jogged to the wire and walked off.
