Footnotes
HEDGE set the pace inside of a prompting rival, vied with that one around the turn, inched an advantage straightening into the lane and held sway thereafter. GARDINER brushed with an inner foe early on, pressed the leader from the three path, vied around the turn, sustained his bid through the lane but was kept at bay. OPTICAL stalked along the inside, pursued under coaxing in the two path around the turn, chased the top pair leaving upper stretch, tipped outside of them in the final furlong and needed more. RIGHTEOUS STAR jumped a shadow casted by a light fixture nearing the seven furlong pole, stalked outside of the top pair and from the four path, required urging to sustain pursuit around the turn, but yielded through the lane. BLAKE JAMES broke a step slow, recovered to race forwardly two wide and between horses, chased under urging around the turn and gave way. GOTTA GUY brushed with an outer rival before checking back and lugging in briefly in the early stages, lacked speed in the five path and faded around the turn.
