Footnotes
MCAFEE laid off of the pace in the three path, shifted out to the five path into the turn, launched a rally turning for home, bid outside of the leader in midstretch and drove clear. GAME DAY hopped slightly and broke a step slow, laid well back along the inside, rallied up the rail in upper stretch, tipped two wide to knife between horses nearing the furlong grounds and sustained an inside charge to gain place at the wire. AKINMUSIRE laid off of the pace two wide, shifted out to the five path in upper stretch, ran on to reach place in the final sixteenth but got nailed by an inner bidder at the wire. BERMUDA BLITZ stalked three wide, bid turning for home, kicked clear nearing the lane, but was caught by an outer bidder leaving the furlong grounds and yielded between horses late. SOUTH BEND TOM laid off of the pace in the four path, got floated to the six path into the lane and ran on willingly. SUPER SNOOP chased from midpack along the inside, shifted out to the three path in upper stretch, was bumped by an inner troubled rival nearing the furlong grounds and failed to menace. HOFF pursued from midpack in the three path, shifted out to the five path into the lane and failed to factor between horses. SOCK IT TO ME fidgeted as the gates sprung and broke slow, trailed two wide and made little impact. LE CHIFFRE rushed forward to set the pace along the inside, vied with an outer rival into the turn, but was no match for a wider bidder leaving the five sixteenths pole and weakened. TO MONARCH raced forwardly two wide and between horses, but faded around the turn. KILLJOY prompted four wide, moved forward to vie two wide into the turn, was no match for an outer bidder turning for home, weakened, then steadied when forced into an outer rival by an inner foe nearing the final furlong.
