SPEED KING bumped with an inner foe leaving the gate, set a clear pace along the inside and held sway while hanging on his left lead. KALAHARI DREAMS stalked three wide, dueled for place with an inner rival while chasing the clear leader through the lane and edged that position in the final furlong. FAUST stalked two wide and between horses, applied mild pressure around the turn, dueled for place with an outer rival while chasing the clear leader into the final furlong, but was bested for that position. GALANTINI broke outwardly, tracked five wide, then four wide passing the three furlong pole, chased under urging before drifting out to the six path entering the lane, yet stayed on while shifting ground inwardly in midstretch and held a minor placing. PUTTING EAGLE pursued from midpack in the three to four path, tucked behind rivals and to the two path at the five sixteenths pole, sustained pursuit tipping out entering midstretch and ran on mildly to gain fifth. CALDERA broke a step sow, pursued from midpack in the two to three path around the turn, then chased mildly and lacked a bid. POPPA ECHO broke on top, yet failed to sustain forward early positioning, saved ground off of the pace around the turn, chased in the three path into the final furlong and failed to factor. GREAT MOMENT broke a step slow before bumping with an inner rival soon after the start, lacked speed along the inside, swung out to the six path in upper stretch and lacked a rally. CANISIUS raced off of the pace in the five path and failed to factor. MUBAREZ was a bit antsy in the starting gate and was required to back out for a veterinarian exam before being re-cleared to go, leaned out and brushed the gate upon leaving it, recovered to track four wide and between horses early on, but faded with three furlongs to go and was done early. LOTTERY WIN bumped with an outer foe at the start, tracked along the inside, chased into the lane and faded. TEXAS TAILWIND bumped with an outer foe soon after the start, dropped back becoming detached from the rest early on and showed little.
