Footnotes
OSCAR'S HOPE tracked four to three wide into the turn, issued a bold challenge outside of the top pair turning for home, drew off under a drive in upper stretch then held sway. ZEUS'S ECHO raced close up along the inside, was hustled to prompt inside of the leader into the turn, sustained pressure under urging around the turn, but lost action and steadied nearing the lane, regained stride into the final furlong and re-rallied to belatedly close in on the leader in the final sixteenth. WAY BEYOND vied two wide and between horses, backed out and chased from the two path around the turn, moved out to the four path in upper stretch and stayed on mildly to edge show late. CABOURG led three wide, then two wide around the turn, got headed by an outer bidder entering the lane, proved no match then yielded between horses in the final furlong. NINE BALL trailed in the two path, moved out to the five path in upper stretch and got outrun.
