Footnotes
GULFPORT stalked outside of the clear leader and from the three path, drifted out to the four path while inching closer into the lane, chased the leader along with an outer rival through midstretch, closed in as the leader tired in the final sixteenth and got up between horses in the shadow of the wire. CHAMPLIN set a clear pace around the turn, hugged the fence as an outer pair took aim into the lane, maintained an open margin through midstretch, but tired in the final sixteenth, was collared by a pair of bidders in the closing stages and gave in yet saved place. ANGKOR tracked from the four path, crept closer while getting floated to the five path into the lane, sustained pursuit to close in on the leader along with an inner rival in the final sixteenth, offered a late bid but came up short and missed place. TEJANO TWIST raced at the rear two wide, advanced with three furlongs to go, pursued tipping out to the six path in upper stretch and stayed on mildly. BANGO saved ground off of the pace, but hung on his left lead and failed to factor. HAPPY AMERICAN laid off of the pace, inched closer in the five path and outside of rivals around the turn, but got floated to the seven path by an inner rival at the three sixteenths pole and tired. GOLD LUCK raced at the rear along the inside, trailed in the two path around the turn and was outrun.
