Footnotes
VALENTINE CANDY prompted outside of the leader and from the three path, vied between horses around the turn, gained an advantage from his inner counterpart in upper stretch and drove clear leaving the furlong grounds. JOE SHIESTY set the pace inside of the prompting eventual winner, got headed by that one in upper stretch, yielded in the final furlong and held place. BILLAL tracked in the four path, moved to press the leading pair around the turn, but only managed to chase through the lane and was denied place. BEAR RIVER was put to tight quarters between horses early on, pursued from the two path and failed to menace. SHIP CADET leaned inwardly at the stat, chased along the inside and was done early.
