Footnotes
LUCENCY brushed with an outer foe at the start, prompted two wide and between horses before stalking around the first turn, tipped three wide to take aim into teh far turn, bid turning for home, but was bumped and herded outwardly by the leader in upper stretch, dueled into the final furlong and edged past late. INTERLOCK EMPIRE vied three to two wide around the first turn, led as an outer challenger joined the fray turning for home, dueled with that bidder while drifting out and brushing that one in upper stretch, dueled through midstretch but was bested then narrowly saved place at the wire. APOLLO RISING laid off of the pace three wide and between horses, brushed with an inner rival into the far turn, then ran on to offer an inside bid for place in the closing stages but missed. BADGE OF WAR was put to crowded quarters between horses at the start, laid off of the pace shifting three to five wide around the first turn, crept closer four wide around the far turn, sustained pursuit while shifting out in midstretch and stayed on. NATIONAL ECLIPSE stalked in the four path, but yielded three wide and between horses around the far turn, then kept on mildly between foes. CURLIN'S GESTURE vied for the lead with an outer rival, but faded turning for home. UNSTABLE PRINCE was antsy in the starting gate, raced off of the pace two wide and between horses, brushed with an outer rival into the far turn, trailed in the five to seven path around that bend and made little impact. THE THUNDERER brushed with an inner rival and checked back subtly between horses at the start, then saved ground off of the pace but to no avail.
