Footnotes
BETTE DAVIS set the pace in the two path as an outer rival prompted, shook clear of that drifting counterpart entering the lane and sway under a drive. I HAD THAT ONE TOO took light contact from an outer rival at the start, saved ground off of the pace and ran on to edge place from an outer rival in the final furlong. EQUUS prompted outside of the eventual winner and from the three path, but yielded to his inner counterpart while drifting to the five path entering the lane, lost place to an inner rival nearing the sixteenth pole and held show. ROSARIO'S PRAYER stalked the top pair from the two path, shifted outside of them and to the four path entering the backstretch, came under urging in pursuit around the far turn, floated out to the six path into the lane and only managed to chase while lacking a bid. LADAN broke a step slow and checked subtly at the start, trailed tucking to the inside and made little impact. STORM BAY broke inwardly and brushed a rival at the start, pursued two wide and tired.
