Footnotes
THUNDERHAWK showed the way as an outer rival applied pressure, drew clear of that one leaving the three furlong pole, maintained an open margin from an outer pursuer in the final furlong, but greenly flopped back to his left lead whlie shying from a right handed crop entering the final sixteenth, dug in as the aforementioned rival bid in the late stages, yet held sway. JACK'S PROMISE stalked three wide, rallied to close in on the green clear leader in the final furlong, ranged up to bid in the late stages but was denied. THE CHALK took light contact from an inner rival leaving the gate, pressed outside of the eventual winner, but yielded to that one while under a drive with three furlongs to go and gave way. WACO leaned out and brushed a rival at the start, lacked speed in the two path and failed to factor. STATE PARK was reluctant to load, broke a step slow, trailed in the three path and got outrun.
