Footnotes
KISSALOT took contact from an inner rival early on, trailed around the first turn, advanced in the five path into the second turn, bid and gained an advantage with thirteen sixteenths to go before tucking to the two path into the backstretch, showed the way well in hand around the final bend, then drew off under a drive in upper stretch. GENERAL MATHIS bumped an outer rival shortly after the start, stalked along the inside while a path off of the inner rail, shifted out to the four path at the five furlong pole, chased outside of rivals around the final turn and ran on to edge place in the final furlong. GILDED CRAKEN prompted outside of the leader while rating in the three to four path around the first turn, allowed an outer rival to make first run around the second turn, stalked outside of the new leader down the backstretch, came under urging to apply pressure to that well-traveling rival around the final turn, but gave way in upper stretch, yielded between horses in midstretch and saved show at the wire. COUNT DRACULA set the pace along the inside, got headed by an early bidder around the second turn, chased along the inside into and around the far turn, gave way through the lane yet missed show at the wire. MIDNIGHT CHANNEL advanced to stalk in the five path and outside of rivals around the first turn, dropped back to lay off of the pace in the four path around the second turn, pursued in the three path around the far turn, stayed on mildly and missed show. BEYOND BEST tracked in the four to three path and between rivals around the first turn, checked under a tight hold among foes moving through the lane for the first time, trailed around the second turn and was outrun thereafter.
