Footnotes
VAMOS CARLITOS bumped an outer rival at the start, prompted inside of the leader leaving the chute, brushed a wider foe while shifting outside of the leader at the half mile pole, took light contact from that foe shortly after, bid in the three path and between horses around the turn, dueled with the leader into the lane, took a brush in upper stretch, sustained the battle through midstretch and edged ahead in the final sixteenth. GARDINER broke inwardly hampering a rival the start, showed the way in the two path before an outer pair of competitors bid around the turn, sparred with only VAMOS CARLITOS into the lane, shifted out and brushed him in upper stretch, gamely clung to an advantage into the final furlong, but was bested in the late stages. STREETS OF WAR was bumped between horses and put to crowded quarters at the start, advanced between horses with nine sixteenths to go, tracked the leading trio two wide around the turn, claimed show from an outer rival while chasing the embattled leading pair in upper stretch, but was no match for them and held show. SECRET TROUBLE laid off of the pace in the three path, shifted out to the six path in upper stretch and moved up. LOU MAN chased along the inside and failed to menace. CAPED CRUSADER broke outwardly, stalked in the four path, took light contact from an inner rival at the half mile pole before returning the favor approaching the turn, pressed the top pair from the four path around the bend, but gave way reaching the lane, drifted inwardly in upper stretch and weakened. RIGHTEOUS STAR bumped an inner rival at the start, yielded position between horses with eleven sixteenths to go, trailed along the inside around the turn and made little impact. SHEPPINATOR hopped and was bothered by an outer rival at the start, lacked speed in the four path and got outrun.
