Footnotes
REPLY , bumped and forced out by LOVING GAZE leaving the starting gate, was patiently rated along the inner rail down the backstretch and around the turn, eased out in upper stretch, swung to four path in mid stretch, was under brisk urging, swept to command inside the sixteenth pole and drew clear. PASSAGE EAST lightly bumped with LANGLEYSWATERFALL soon after the break, prompted the pace outside LOVING GAZE down the backstretch, gained a short lead on the turn, went clear in mid stretch, drifted out a bit and tired late. LOVING GAZE (IRE) caused a chain reaction when bearing out and bumping REPLY leaving the starting gate, sped to the early lead, set a pressured pace along the rail, lost the lead on the turn, remained prominent to the eighth pole and weakened in the drive. FIVECLOCKSOMEWHERE chased the pace two wide down the backstretch and around the turn then steadily retreated through the stretch. LANGLEYSWATERFALL , checked when pinched back leaving the starting gate, raced four wide on the turn, gave way and was eased.
