Footnotes
CASA CIELO was away alertly to set the pace on the inside, was well handled and pressured on the turn, shook clear leaving the turn and held well to maintain a safe margin to the wire to prove best under a drive. BEHOLD THE KING was bumped at the break, then a bit green into the first turn, settled into stride and rated along the inside, waited for room nearing the quarter pole, tipped out two wide leaving the turn for aim on the leader and finished willingly but could not get to the winner while clearly second best. CULOIR was bumped into the first turn, tracked the pace from the outside, three path on the turn and made a mild four wide bid off the bend but flattened out. BAYTOWN ANUBIS stalked the pace and then went up to press the pace two wide to the quarter p;ole but weakened in the drive. TISUM was pin balled after the break, then settled two wide and made a mild advance on the far turn and raced a bit green leaving the turn but had no late rally. C. P. A. JIM squeezed back at the start and checked, then was outrun early and never factored. SHARONS BEACH was bumped at the break, then bumped a rival while in between rivals into the first turn, advanced between rivals to track the leaders by the half mile marker but tired the final quarter of a mile. HOUSEBUSTER DUDE steadied into the first turn, settled on the inside and tired.
