Footnotes
WORK HARD prompted the early pace three wide and then stalked the leaders three wide on the turn, made a four wide bid leaving the turn and was put to a long drive and proved best late. DAN D'ORO vied for the early lead and then dueled for command on the inside on the turn, shook clear and moved out leaving the turn and was engaged by the winner nearing the furlong marker but dug in gamely and fought on but missed late. BOURBON TIME was allowed to settle along the inside, moved out nearing the half mile marker to be three to four wide on the turn, came five wide by the quarter pole but proved to be no match for the top two while clearly besting the rest. BLAME THE RIVER vied for the lead in between rivals by the six furlong marker, then dueled for command two wide entering the turn and fell back leaving the five sixteenths and weakened. MISCHIEF MYSTERY tracked the pace along the inside and was two wide by the quarter pole but came up empty. MAXIMUS THUNDER was checked shortly after the break, chased the early pace on the outside and stopped and was eased in the drive, walked off.
