Footnotes
LOVELY GREY raced four wide around the first turn, raced in hand early, shifted in a bit to saved ground through the far turn, angled out through the upper stretch and finished well to edge clear under strong handling. NICKEL SAVER was slowly, trailed early on after the poor start, moved up from the inside around the far turn into the upper stretch, veered in slightly near the eighth pole, quickly straightened and finished strongly to get up for the place position in a game effort. BLACK ROSE prompt the early leader from the outside, led inside the eighth pole and gave way grudgingly late. COURAGEOUS DIANE showed good early foot to set the pace along the inside and weakened a bit the final three sixteenths of a mile. LADY FAYE bumped, jostled around the first turn, up close early on, raced just off the inside around the far turn, eased out into the upper stretch and faded. DREAM CHICK broke to the inside sharply, bothered Arete, drifted a bit around the first turn, raced three deep around the far turn and faded. ARETE forced in at the break, raced near the back of the pack early on and never menaced.
