ROCK IN COMMAND broke inward, leaving the gate, contested the early pace outside of DIS CREED, and edged clear when given the cue. DIS CREED vied for the early lead from the inside, remained competitive through the opening stages, but was unable to match strides with ROCK IN COMMAND in the stretch and faded in the late stages. AVA THE GOLD fractious at the gate, reared up, unseating the jockey before the start, rated off the pace, drove up three wide into the far turn, but lacked the rally needed. HOLY LENT broke awkwardly, then trailed the field, and passed the tiring rival. ICKY tracked four wide, and tired early.
