Footnotes
SAMURAI CHALLENGE took command early, unchallenged to the final turn, responded when challenged by WRIT IN STONE, lost the lead midstretch, but dug in gamely and prevailed under a drive. WRIT IN STONE stalked three wide into the opening turn, went in pursuit of the leader, gained a slim advantage into the stretch, and was outfinished. TIMMY DANCER sat in range and was done early. RATTLESNAKE JACK saved ground and was outrun. LIFESBEENGOODTOME was never involved.
