A BLACK TYPE STAKE FOR TWO-YEAR-OLDS. A fee of $100.00 required to nominate. A payment of $500.00 is required to pass the entry box and an additional $400.00 is required to start. The purse will be divided $30,000 to the owner of the winner, $10,000 to th e second place finisher, $5,000 to the third place finisher, $2,500 to the fourth place finisher and $1,000 to the fifth place finisher. A payment of $500 will be paid to all horses who start and finish 6th or worse. Starters to be named through the entry box by the closing time of entries. The field will be limited to 10 starters. Preference will be given to those horses with the highest lifetime earnings at time of entry. A trophy will be presented to the winning owner. Colts and Geldings : 124 lbs. F illies : 121 lbs. Maidens allowed 3 lbs.

HOLIDAY'S AGAIN was under a strong hold entering the opening turn, contended the pace inside of MR MIEZIE, gained the lead leaving the backstretch, moved clear and was kept to task. HOLMDEL HORNET tracked along the rail, chased the leader through the final turn and finished up second best. WRIT IN STONE was four wide leaving the opening turn, and lacked kick that was needed. KITTY HOUSE raced at the back of the pack, chased five wide into the far turn, and was unable to improve position. MR MIEZIE broke alertly, contested the lead outside of HOLIDAY'S AGAIN, was unable to move on with the eventual winner and stopped.
