Footnotes
POINT TO THE STARS trailed the field, shifted out three wide, advanced quickly outside, dueled outside of NEIGHBOR through the stretch, and edged clear. NEIGHBOR took back leaving the opening turn, sat in striking position into the backstretch, inherited the lead, responded to a challenge from POINT TO THE STARS, and gave way. TAKE CHARGE CURLY was under a snug hold early, emerged the leader into the front side, showed the way through the backstretch, was overtaken then yielded along the rail, clipped heels with HE'S A SAINT and gave way. BRI'S BOY settled off the pace, and tired. SNAP COUNT was three to four wide leaving the opening turn, and was done early. HE'S A SAINT was allowed to settle early, moved up closer to the leaders, was in tight, then clipped heels, lost rider, did not finish and walked off. STEWARDS INQUIRY-The Board of Stewards conducted an inquiry into an incident on the final turn involving HE'S A SAINT. After reviewing the race film, the Steward determined that no change was warranted.
