LANNY MAC emerged the leader into the backstretch, responded to a challenge from BROWNING ISLAND into the stretch, drifted out and held under a drive. BROWNING ISLAND fanned four wide into the opening turn, dropped back in the backstretch, asked to quicken into the far turn, moved up menacingly but was unable to get by the winner. MAYBE SOMETIME was three wide into the first turn, gained outside while wide in the backstretch, shifted inside midstretch and flattened out late. LAST OF WAR saved inside, lodged a rail bid in the far turn, and improved position late for show. C C'S KITTEN chased the pacesetters early, dropped back and gave way late stretch. PODEROSO EQUS lacked a serious bid. MY BOY CHRISTIAN sat just off the pace while two wide, and faded. RUNNINFORCOVER was not a factor. SAMURAI CHALLENGE outrun throughout. JOCKEY OBJECTION- There was an objection by the rider of BROWNING ISLAND alleging interference by LANNY MAC into the stretch. After review of the Stewards it was disallowed and no change made.
