TANGO FOR THE SOUL settled mid-pack on the rail, moved up to be a clear second approaching the three-furlong pole, chased TOURISTICA into the stretch, had trouble with the lead change but kept to task, closed the margin, and outlasted that rival in the end to prevail. TOURISTICA sprinted clear to a five or six length lead with the rider doing little to temper the pace, started to shorten strides in upper stretch, and was all-out to get to the line but was overtaken in the final yards. IT'S A GOLD AFFAIR sent hard but was unable to contest the pace, settled between horses in the tracking group down the backstretch, started a bid from the seven-sixteenths marker, was gaining ground with a mild rally up the rail in the stretch then had to check with about fifty yards to go and lost any chance. BRIAR'S ROSE was under a drive from the break but was outrun and dropped to last, kept on from far back and passed a few tired foes in the stretch. CLASSY REGARD'S raced four wide with the second flight came under a hard ride with three furlongs to run, but was unable to generate a rally. ABSOLUTE PLEASURE broke well, chased TOURISTICA from second down the backstretch, gave way passing the three-furlong pole and stopped in the stretch. CARAVALLA showed little and trailed far back throughout.
