SIR BREGOVIC broke well, sent hard to the front, dueled inside of SILENT RUNNER through the early stages, put a head in front on the turn, left that rival and the rest behind at the quarter pole, was desperate for the finish line by mid-stretch and just held on under strong handling to. GEM QUALITY outpaced early, settled mid-pack, bid in earnest from the quarter pole, kept on well under steady handling, closed well, and just missed. BRODY'S PAL stalked the dueling leaders to the turn, bid three wide from the three-furlong pole, dropped over to the rail in upper stretch, and finished well but came up short at the wire. CHASE THE SUN steadied when DONTBRINGMEDOWN came over at the start, settled near the back, saved ground, then put in a good late run, was gaining rapidly on the leaders, but ran out of time. SILENT RUNNER broke inward and caused a chain reaction to rivals exiting the adjacent stalls, was still away well and dueled with SIR BREGOVIC to the turn, was floated four wide on the last bend into the stretch, failed to change leads, and was outfinished in the late stages. NORTHERN FORCE broke well under coaxing, tracked four-wide down the backstretch, came under a ride from the three-furlong pole then flattened out in the stretch. MIDNITE CHILL raced in the middle of the pack and tired midway through the stretch run. DONTBRINGMEDOWN was pinballed after the start, started well behind the rest, and lost interest.
