KULSUM bumped with an outer foe at the start, prompted the pace inside, lost ground in the three path around the turn, floated out to the five path at the top of the lane, but rallied into the final furlong, and inched ahead of the inner pacesetter in the final strides. B C CHU CHU bumped with an inner foe at the start, set the pace in the two path, edged clear around the turn, was cued into the stretch, and stayed on but was caught in the final strides by a late surging outer foe. EL CORRECAMINOS trailed in the two path, swung from the five path into the stretch, and rallied for show. BROKEN PROMISES got fractious in the gate, raced off the pace in the three path, improved from the two path in upper stretch, but flattened in the final furlong. VIOLENT VIOLET stalked in the four path but weakened down the lane.
