Footnotes
MAGNIFICENT MARIO angled to the rail in the opening turn, rated well off the early pacesetters, took closer order leaving the backstretch, swung four wide in the final turn, swept the lead and drove clear. CALI CONQUEST stalked the pace from the rail, and closed gradually into the stretch. WILL IS CHILL tracked four wide through the backstretch, drove five wide at the head of the lane, and gained ground late. VICTORIA'S CHIEF vied three wide into the opening turn, emerged the lead while under a snug hold, was under attack into the stretch and gave way. THE BEAT trailed four wide and passed tiring rival. FRANKIE MACHINE contended the pace under a strong hold, and faded gradually.
