Footnotes
WON FOR LOU forwardly placed three deep into the first turn, moved up to press the leader from outside, dueled around the far turn and put a head in front at the quarter pole, cleared while drifting out in upper stretch and held safely. BORN TO ROCK settled two wide then along the rail on the first turn, coaxed along leaving the backstretch, ridden between runners on the far turn, finished determinedly down the lane but could only whittle the gap on the winner. BOGARTS BUCCHERO pulled on the inside into the first turn, pulled a bit more early on the backstretch, saved ground through the far turn had nowhere to go when boxed in leaving the bend, tipped out for a clear path in upper stretch and kept on willingly for the show honors. STERLING SEA was off slow from inside, trailed into the first turn, checked off heels early on the bend, moved closer outside rivals in the middle stages, chased four then three deep on the far turn, lugged out at the eighth pole and flattened. DAY MAN settled along the inside, raced at the back inside a rival into the far turn, saved ground through the bend, moved out in the lane and failed to threaten. SLEEPER SULLIVAN established an early lead then set the pace under pressure, dueled around the far turn, lost command at the quarter pole and weakened in the lane. GUILLERMO raced outside a rival towards the rear, remained two wide to the far turn, cut inside leaving the bend and was never a factor. HUBER tracked two wide around the first turn, drew closer keeping off the rail in the middle stages, got put in tight and checked three deep between rivals at the quarter pole, then tired in the lane.
