Footnotes
USHA raced up close five deep in the early going, dueled outside MARGARITA GIRL around the bend, put that rival away entering the stretch, powered away under strong handling and a tap of the left-handed crop, then coasted in the final fifty yards. MARGARITA GIRL took a short lead over inner rivals early, dueled inside USHA through the bend, yielded to the winner entering the lane and was able to hold second. HARMONIQUE settled off the rail, advanced three then four wide on the turn and was along for the show honors. NAPLES GAL broke in, went up to challenge for the lead inside rivals, could not keep up with the leaders leaving the backstretch, chased on the inside around the bend, tired in the lane but was able to save a minor award. A FRIEND OF MINE got crowded and shuffled back at the start, traveled two wide into the turn, moved over to the rail midway around the bend, angled out in the lane and improved position. SPARROW raced up close between rivals, chased three wide leaving the backstretch, stayed off the rail to the stretch and faded. THATSALRIGHTMAMA coaxed along the inside from off the pace, drifted out on the turn, went three to four wide into the stretch and failed to menace. SURF SONG chased from inside, fell out of range on the turn, entered the lane a bit off the rail and had little left for the drive. COOEY vied between rivals early, chased outer pair into the turn, dropped back around the bend and retreated.
