BALTIC FIRE tracked from inside, between rivals at the half-mile pole, lacked room behind a rival into the lane, angled out into the clear, drifted out while rallying and got up. VIBEZ traveled outside a rival or two wide off the pace, moved into range three deep on the backstretch, bid three deep with a quarter mile remaining, fought into deep stretch, got bumped on both sides nearing the wire. PARADISE LAKE sat off the pace on the inside, followed in range on the far turn, ran into brief traffic at the three-sixteenths pole, tipped out into the clear, rallied between, got bumped on both sides nearing the wire and missed second. CANDY BAR rated in the two path, bid two wide on the far turn, took over in upper stretch, drifted out in the final furlong and was outfinished by the top trio. JOHANNY trailed on the inside, moved into the two path on the far turn, roused and angled out in upper stretch, closed in between runners late but got bumped around and checked near the wire. HOPEFUL (GB) settled inside then began to pull and moved into the two path around the clubhouse turn, chased three deep at the quarter pole, got floated out midstretch and finished willingly to the wire. RUGELACH took control early and steered to the fence, took pressure around the far turn, led inside a pair of rivals turning for home, lost command in upper stretch and weakened in the late stages. PARIS SECRET (IRE) raced along the fence towards the back, went between rivals at the quarter pole, angled out in upper stretch, ran into traffic at the sixteenth pole and was too late to regain momentum. RUNAMILEINMYSHOES stalked from inside, saved ground to the stretch and lacked the needed response. CIRCLE OF TRUST stalked two then three wide around the clubhouse turn, remained three deep to the stretch and weakened. THERE WAS A STEWARDS' INQUIRY INVOLVING THE TOP FIVE FINISHERS LATE IN THE RACE. FOLLOWING A REVIEW, THE STEWARDS UNANIMOUSLY RULED THAT ALTHOUGH THERE WAS CONTACT BETWEEN SEVERAL RUNNERS IT DID NOT AFFECT THE OUTCOME OF THE RACE.
