CANANI broke inward and bumped rival, reserved along the fence, made steady progress from the rail into and around the last turn, tipped out in the drive, responded from strong handling and wore down pacesetter in final yards. PRINCE OF DEL MAR quickly stepped to the front, carved out the fractions while under pressure from MINING DISTRICT, edged away from that rival into the lane, dug in from the inside in the drive but could not hold off the winner. SOGNO DI VINO settled inside, remained glued to the rail chasing the pace, responded to urging in the stretch, rallied strongly inside late and got up on the wire for third. MINING DISTRICT angled over early and forced early pace, remained close up and outside pacesetter to the final turn, came three wide into the stretch, dropped back a bit then was collared in final jump for third. CARDIFF CRACK was bumped by outside foe leaving the gate, angled over, found the fence, saved ground to last turn, shifted out three, four and five wide around that turn and into the stretch and found his best stride late. PRINCE DOLCE between rivals early, chased along the rail or two wide, shifted out some exiting the last turn and finished with interest from between rivals. WINNING PATRIOT false broke then hopped when the gate opened to be off well behind the field, trailed from the inside, later angled out three then four wide into the lane and improved placing. IT'S A FACTOR chased three deep into the backstretch, continued well off the rail, came in slightly on the last turn, and lacked late response. MILES FINCH caught four deep into first turn, pulled his way from the outside around that bend and into backstretch, later chased from between foes and weakened in the final eighth. UNCLE CHILLY caught three deep early, remained well off the rail then on same path around the last turn and weakened. CHROMEFLASH angled over early, tracked pace while three wide, continued on same path into and around last turn and faded. THREE GEORGES between foes early then chased while outside eventual winner in middle stages, then dropped back and had little left for the stretch.
