BIG JUANITO tracked three then two wide early, advanced inside in the middle stages, continued to gain around the far turn, lacked room behind the leader at the quarter pole, gained an opening late on the bend, surged clear in upper stretch and powered away under steady handling. SILVER N BLACK sat off the pace off the inside, steadied into the backstretch, drew closer in the middle stages, gained four, three, then two wide on the far turn, took over leaving the bend, lost command in upper stretch and stayed on for a clear second. QUEBRANCHO traveled near the back in the three path, between foes leaving the backstretch, came four wide into the stretch and ran on for third. SMILING CAPOTE settled in the four path, stayed off the rail to the far turn, angled in then back out on that bend and improved position. FAST SERVICE chased from off the pace on the inside, made an early move on the backstretch, fought between runner to the far turn, dropped back around that bend and churned on to improve placing in the stretch. SIX HOT GRANDS bumped fighting for the lead from inside into the first turn, cleared late on the bend, was overtaken on the backstretch and fought inside a pair of rivals to the far turn, lost touch with the leader with three furlongs remaining and weakened in the drive. BEGIN AGAIN showed early speed three deep then started to pull when ceding command on the first turn, rushed up to contest the pace three deep again on the backstretch, cleared briefly past the three-eighths pole, challenged by outer rival at the quarter pole, yielded to the new leader and folded. TRUE MANTRA bumped with inner rival on the first turn while showing speed, dropped back to track off the rail, weakened on the far turn, pulled up midstretch and walked off.
