Footnotes
BALDORO vied five deep leaving the chute then took a stalking position in the two path, bid three deep leaving the backstretch, dueled around the far turn, led in upper stretch, dueled inside RUSSELLS HUSTLE past the eighth pole, lost command at the sixteenth pole, fought back and edged the runner-up at the wire. RUSSELLS HUSTLE raced in the two path, went three wide into the backstretch, drew closer three deep into the far turn, exited that bend four deep, challenged into the furlong grounds, put a nose in front at the sixteenth pole, battled with BALDORO to the line and missed. SMOOTH SALUTE tucked inside at the back of the pack, went two wide into the far turn, angled out and came four wide into the stretch, closed in and drew alongside the top pair in the final fifty yard but ran out of time. MR. LEASURE broke in and bumped, vied three deep early, started to pull first time through the stretch and bobbled near the finish line, angled to the inside to stalk the pace, pulled the rider more early on the backstretch, ran in traffic late on the far turn, then finished evenly through the lane behind the leaders. DEALERS SPECIAL got sandwiched leaving the gate, settled along the fence then moved into the two path around the clubhouse turn, steered back inside in the middle stages, lacked room from the five-sixteenths pole to the quarter pole, got put in tight late on the bend, lacked room once more in upper stretch and finished well once in the clear. SINGLE TRACK MIND (IRE) vied between rivals leaving the chute then tracked from inside, chased between on the backstretch, two then three wide on the far turn and flattened out. CONCORD BRIDGE vied from inside, cleared around the first turn, dueled up the backstretch, vied with outer rivals into and around the far turn, yielded in upper stretch and weakened. DE' MEDICI antsy in the gate, broke out and bumped, vied between rivals first time through the stretch, chased for a bit on the clubhouse turn, challenged from outside again then between rivals on the backstretch, yielded to the top pair approaching the stretch and folded.
